one moment in time. playful wind.Posted by Alina Livia Lazăr (Leigh, United Kingdom) on 3 February 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. My entry for February 3rd in B/W Street Photography Theme, presented in detail here: Thanks a lot for your previous comments! And also for the future ones! They are very encouraging and even if I am new here, I already feel like part of the community. I keep all my photos in my head. All I have to do is find them in reality and then press the shutter.

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainWell seen, you had time to catch the right moment. 3 Feb 2009 7:02pm @Paco Díaz: Actually, I did not have the time. It was very quick. :) Thanks a lot for your comment(s)! shallowregret from Kongsberg, Norwayi´m probably old fashioned, but the lack of sharpness throws me off this one. otherwise a really good shot 3 Feb 2009 10:52pm @shallowregret: I don't think that your opinion might prove that you are old-fashioned. As well as the fact that this intended lack of sharpness should not prove that I am in a different way. It is just a different perception regarding this image. Thanks. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomThe softness gives a nice finish. You've been in Chester...? 4 Feb 2009 12:48am @Observing: Thanks for your comment(s), Observing. I have been in Chester, of course. This photo is from there. I love Chester, actually. :) Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaThis is a lyrical image: the warmth of the couple, the playfulness of the wind, the softness of focus add up to a really dreamy feeling! Actually the off-focus bothered me for a few seconds, but the more I looked, the more it grew on me, until finally I think it's integral to the success of this image - a feeling of observing discreetly. 4 Feb 2009 3:52am @Damon Schreiber: I did not want to say it and I hoped that somebody would notice it: the urge for intimacy and, consequently, my discretion. Thanks a lot, Damon! Baz from Teglia, United KingdomDecisive moment! I personally like the softness and the dreamy feeling it conveys, well done! 8 Feb 2009 12:12am @Baz: Thanks! |
